'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his interest in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is prepared to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is presently halfway through the four-year agreement he signed when moving to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an impressive 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them win the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the maiden important trophy of his distinguished career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier expressed that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England skipper has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about going back home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of remaining longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so goes and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and lately became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a trophy had escaped him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after breaking his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
